Three times per day, the raggedy old Hat of Sorting can be placed upon a creature’s head where it speaks aloud one of the following (roll a d6):

1. Alignment

2. Biggest fear

3. Religious affiliation(s)

4. Their most regretted decision

5. How much currency is on their person

6. Current sexual preference

If the creature isn’t willing to divulge this information, it makes a deception check contested against the Hat of Sorting which has +10 to insight. However, the hat will always give a confident answer even when they don’t know. In fact, many an evil terror has been created because of a faulty alignment check and the self-fulfilling prophecy a publicly announced “chaotic evil” label creates.
